      NOW OUR SCHOOL IS BILINGUAL!

The last year our teacher Pablo Tafur was invited into a important meeting with a couple of professional fellows from the Secretary of Education Bilingualism program. They were promoting the implementation of the content language integrated language (C.L.I.L) as a first attempt in the transformation of our school as a bilingual institution according to the new Colombia’s politic education.

WHAT'S GOING ON WITH OUR TEACHERS?

In other words, our primary teachers’ job would be in English all the time, they must to teach some subjects in the new language making a big change.

BUT IF THEY DON’T SPEAK THAT LANGUAGE, WHAT WILL HAPPEN WITH THEM?

The Secretary of education is help them a lot, they’ve been instructed by a native teacher in the scholar break, even they had been practicing very much in this study area.

WHAT ARE THE TOOLS USING IN THAT PROCESS?

A few days ago they were working the linguistic skills with a practice exercise. Everybody have a work book, (it’s the teaching instrument), there’s a tiny text which the professors must  listen while the English teacher is reading it along, after the reading they have to write something about the comprehension of that text, then they’ve to practice in their houses getting a better linguistic skills.
